What type of tv should i buy for gaming in HD?
Tv will be most likely 42”. Good prices for tvs like this, what kind (1080i etc). I will be using an Xbox 360 with all HD cabled available. Any other information would be happily welcomed.
You’ll probably be happiest with a plasma set, as opposed to an LCD. Many gamers don’t like the inherent blur that LCDs can produce with fast action, even the sets with a 120 hz refresh rate. It should be even better with the newest 240 hz LCDs, but they aren’t cheap.
As for the other answer about “1080i” or “1080p,” that’s incorrect. The “i” or the “p” indicates the scan method of the program source. The TV will display whichever mode, i or p, that the source sends to it.
If you go with plasma, educate yourself about its pros and cons. But again, gamers seem to like it a lot.
